His special emphasis is on trademark litigation, cancellation proceedings and opposition proceedings before the European Office for Harmonization of the Internal Market OHIM (European Trademark and Design Office). Martin Schweiger is also experienced in all aspects of patent practice, including the preparation and prosecution of domestic and foreign patent applications, patent appeals and the preparation of patent, copyright and trademark licenses. He has been involved primarily in the technical areas of mechanical technologies, mechatronics, robotics, computer peripherals and software. He is a noted German attorney in prosecuting software related patent applications. He is a German native speaker and is fluent in English, French and Portuguese. He has extensive experience in varied other IP related fields, such as in financial and tax treatment of licenses and in organization start-upissues.
